In practice, we often encounter piglet floor heaters that, over time, are no longer diffusion sealed. This leads to air in the heated water, causing the plates to insulate in the opposite direction. The top stays lukewarm while the bottom gets warm, consuming unnecessary energy. This problem is often caused by leaking fittings or heating plates. We make custom heating plates for many renovation barns. These plates are 35 mm thick and have a rubber top layer for extra grip, even when the plate is damp. Our heating plates fit perfectly into almost any overlay system from floor suppliers. If needed, we can also provide additional stainless steel support. Our plates are not expensive, but they are durable and robust. They contain 15 mm heating hoses that will trouble-free heat your piglet nests for years. These hoses are German made and completely diffusion sealed. The plastic quick connectors we use contain as little metal as possible, so they last long in aggressive climates and remain oxygen tight. Replacement of broken piglet caps:
After prolonged use, piglet covers can wear out or break down, often due to brittle plastic that is not UV-resistant. Another problem is the lack of a stainless steel framework, which can cause hoods to crack under rough use and eventually break down altogether. Sometimes people try to make their own undercovers from underlayment boards, but these are expensive and susceptible to moisture, so they get damaged quickly. We can make piglet covers for any situation from transparent, UV-resistant sheets or black HDPE sheets. Our plastic hinges are very strong and can take a beating.
