In the first half of this year, our new 2,500 m² production hall was completed. This provided the perfect opportunity to go ahead with installing solar panels as well. The roofs of the existing production halls were recalculated by the structural engineer, and the solar panels had already been factored into the structural calculations for the new hall. We could not fit more than 1,144 on our roof. The Autarco solar panels now installed there generate 325 kWp per panel. Together, they ensure that we generate more electricity annually than we use ourselves. Apart from the fact that we have purchased a large number of panels, this is partly due to the fact that, thanks to our new hall and a change in our production process, we are saving no less than 15 per cent on energy consumption compared with previous years! A win-win situation. In this way, we are practising Corporate Social Responsibility effectively.
