The PT1 Drowaco and Bigro feeding troughs were tested in Germany by an independent company. They were the best feeder out of the bus. The growth curve was by far the most constant and the total growth per pig was almost 10% higher after 50 days than with the bin with the lowest result. With an average of 30 animals in this test, that is 60 kilos more growth result for this group in 50 days time compared to the worst scoring bin. Every year this brings enormous benefits to a company.
We find it striking that the two best scored feeders are the only two vending machines with a square trough; The rest has a round trough.
