Verba has developed a new, comfortable, well-organised and labour-saving piglet pen.
Rear and side panels:
The piglet pen has a plastic rear wall and side walls made of 10 mm thick recycled white PE.
The rear wall is fitted with a piglet entrance – which can be closed off using the sliding gate supplied.
To allow the feed trough to be fitted, slots have been milled where the front panel of the farrowing pen is to be mounted.
Lid:
The fully transparent, hinged lid is made of 3 mm thick P.E.K. It is reinforced with well-finished 304-grade stainless steel beading and fitted with a convenient handle. The lid remains open automatically; you do not need to secure it.
Front panel:
The fully transparent front panel is made of 6 mm thick polycarbonate. The front panel is reinforced with high-quality 304-grade stainless steel with a bead finish. The entire front panel is lightweight and can be easily removed in its entirety, making it very straightforward to move piglets, clean the pen, etc.
Floor finish:
The floor is fitted as standard with the well-known VERBA underfloor heating panel. This consists of a rubber-studded top panel. These panels are fitted with 12 mm thick, oxygen-resistant PE tubing, which is milled into the top panel at 50 mm centres. (The VERBA piglet pen can also be supplied without underfloor heating.)
Ventilation:
The fixed top plate, which is 15 cm wide, has slotted holes to provide the necessary ventilation
Feeding trough:
If piglet feed is used in the piglet pen, it is fitted in front of the milled openings in the sow pen.
Sizes:
The piglet pen is available in all sizes and can be supplied either assembled or unassembled. If supplied unassembled, a comprehensive assembly guide with text and clear photographs is included.
Piglets:
The standard piglet pen is suitable for piglets from birth up to 25 kg.
Overview:
The transparent lid and front panel allow you to check on your piglets quickly and efficiently. This creates an ideal working environment.
Nursery pens:
For farrowing and rearing pens, VERBA can supply a special sow/piglet automatic feeder – the KZB model, made entirely of stainless steel – which can be fitted directly to the piglet pen.

Warranty:
The VERBA piglet hutch comes with a 3-year warranty covering all materials used, structural defects and underfloor heating.
