Design and functionality: Sows’ feed tray

For (pregnant) sows, it is important that feed and feed distribution are coordinated. The PT0 ZB sow bowl provides a simple and effective solution for ad libitum feeding of 10 to 12 sows in group accommodation. This sow bowl provides sows with fresh feed that is easily accessible and optimally portioned. Furthermore, this is achieved at a relatively low investment cost, making it a cost-effective choice for sow farmers.

Quiet eating behaviour and precise adjustment

The sophisticated PT0 dosing valve ensures that the sows feed quietly. This helps them to feed more effectively than with traditional feeders. In the case of larger groups of sows, several feeders can be used for feeding. This sow feeder can be adjusted very precisely so that the sows do not overeat and are encouraged to feed quietly. This adjustment is also ideal for daily rationing.

Hygiene and maintenance

The wider trough ensures that the sows can easily reach the feed and that no feed is left behind. This keeps the trough clean and hygienic. Combined with the stainless steel dRN 4 This is the ideal solution for group housing of sows with ad libitum feeding. We recommend installing the sows’ drinking troughs (preferably a DRN 4) at least 1 metre from the ZB sow feeding tray. Installation is also straightforward.

Optional water supply and various models

Alternatively, we can also have a water pipe with drinking teat As a result, the ZB transforms sows into a feeding trough. The ZB feeding trough models are particularly suitable for grain and crumb feed. For finer feed, such as flour, the ZBC feeding tray models are ideal. A lower feeding tray is available for rearing gilts, which is incorporated into two lower models of feeding troughs.

Sustainability and financial stability

The additional stainless steel omega profiles on the side make the PT0 ZB sow bowl extremely strong. There is a stainless steel angle bracket at the front, which allows the sow bowl to be securely fixed to the floor.
